Bruno Under - Three arrivals on the banks of the Thames, a walk to the rooms in Deptford. The dinner: a shock blast of secret thoughts prepared to un-think the real and welcome the unthinkable.
PHASE 02: Realgar (powder of the cave, Pan’s Salt)
Prague: Giordano Bruno/John Dee, magus to Elizabeth I/
Edward Kelley, alchemist: Angelic Conversations [Spirit/Mathematics] + Nigredo
Bruno Between – the Dee inquisition and the state apparatus for erasure and “border control” – as if the angel Dee loses is replaced by Benjamin’s “angel of history,” wheeling backwards through a storm of debris. Kelley promises transmutation.
PHASE 03: Et volucrem figas (make free the winged thing)
Naples: Giordano Bruno/Christopher Marlowe/Caravaggio:
Corporeal Strategies [No Hope/No Fear] + The Flames
Bruno Out – The last transactions, acknowledgements and premonitions – the look that starts the move to murder or to flee, the finger that points to the foul bed. Marlowe, already murdered in Deptford, returns as ‘familiar’ and counsel. A night of encounters between the aesthetic and the ruined. This movement ends as a historical banquet, hosted by the famous Neapolitan femminielli, a “corporeal” banquet, involving delicacies of marrow and slight entertainments on the themes of massacre, resistance and redemption. A renaissance banquet that is not an historical representation of anything “renaissance” except the politics inherited after.
